she teacher is claiming she neverland never laid a hand on her students. >>> today there will be a hearing to discuss a merger between these campuses. sherrie johnson is standing by with the latest. >> yes, charlie, we are here on lumbar street right in front of the campus and later today the board of regents will have a public hearing to try to decide whether or not to merge university of maryland college park and then university of maryland baltimore. the president mike miller called for the study of whether it is feasible for the two largest research campuses in the state to actually merge. leaders are looking at increased research funding coming in. while the idea is being considered the community and some civic leaders have expressed concern that merging the university of maryland's baltimore campus will have a negative impact on the city of baltimore and the anchor roll proceeded by them on the west side. the mayor's break is expected to speak today. the legislation has mandated the university of maryland must issue a report on this study by december 15th. now the hearing takes place
