there's a question of the diagnosis and fund-raiser in new jersey and what happened last week at the rose garden. it's important from a contact tracing perspective but also important from a news perspective to understand how this all happened. what do you have at this point that can help clear this up? >> some very serious questions as we try to piece the time line not only of what happened but about how the white house responded to it. mark meadows, the white house chief of staff, says that it was on thursday before the president left washington to go to this fund-raiser in new jersey that the white house learned that hope hicks tested positive. that raises questions why the president went on the plane and went to new jersey to go to a fund-raiser where the president had been in close proximity to hope hicks on the airplane. the white house press secretary saying that it was the white house operations office that determined that it was safe for the president to continue to this fund-raiser because it was going to be outside and because it was going to be socially distanced. this is r

you get what you pay for in new jersey. jonathan: in 2015, you will remer the -- you will remer the headlines. is he coming home? gov. murphy: i've not spoken to him personally, but i have heard the same as you have. we welcome them back. our number of millionaires over the past number of years is growing, not thinking, notwithstanding the noise around moving vans. our state is actually growing, including among the wealthiest. jonathan: where else will you be able to raise taxes? we've heard again and again about the prospect around doing something around cannabis. is that just a low hanging fruit for you now? gov. murphy: it is on the ballot on november 3 as a referendum item. i wish we could have gotten it done through a legislative process. we just couldn't find the last few votes, so it is on the referendum. first and foremost, for social justice reasons, low-end drug crimes are the biggest reason by far that we have young persons of color, especially young men of color, in our criminal justice system. beyond that, this

i am quite familiar with the third district in new jersey. that being said, to answer your question and i know i did point this out in detail inl my written, the lack of guidance from the fpa is something i've never seen before in all of my years dealing with the fda. there guidance is usually very prescriptive and clear. this is not the case with the ppp program. we certainly understand the speed at which they hadad to give out guidance. but h it has come piecemeal and it is confusing. and if it is confusing for the lender, that just translates to theur borrowers. we cannot help our borrowers if we ourselves do not understand the guidance. said that is what has been my opinion is the biggest problem. the application itself is burdensome. as you just heard so eloquently again i talk about the easy form which is not easy as just different requires the same amount of documentation. i also talked about the problems in the ppp and the conflict of interest it puts the lenders in a really bad position. we are unclear of our role. when we jump into
