but 101 in sonoma county is wet as a lot of moisture out there is wonderful news. look at all the white up in the sierra. it's snowing heavily for the next couple of days. snowfall above 5,000 feet. winter storm warning in effect through tomorrow. by lunchtime tomorrow 2 to 4 feet of snow with more snow saturday night and sunday. very tough travel but it's exactly what we want and exactly what we need. it's not going to be a drought ender. but i'm calling this storm a drought denter. we are putting a sizable dent in this drought because of all that tropical moisture coming up from the south and west and streaming into the bay area. so over the next couple of days, that tropical plume of moisture aimed at us, the north bay is the bull's eye. this will be the wettest weekend since december 2012. that storm track goes way up north next week so we need to enjoy and get as much rain as we can this weekend because the overall pattern kind of reverts back to where we were after
