new this morning, a head-on collision on an eastbound roadway claimed lives of two people, one of theman infnt. concord police say an officer driving down willow pass road saw the crash between an suv and a large sedan at a bridge overcrossing shortly after 11:00 p.m. the officer called emergency crews and immediately tried to rea baby girl at the scene. the police say she was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead a short time later. a woman who officers believe may have driven a vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene, and five others taken to the hospital for major injuries, but expected to survive, and an investigation on the cause of the crash is ongoing, and police say that section of the willow pass road reopens at approximately 8:00 this morning. 1600 people have jumped to their deaths off the golden gate bridge over its history, and families of victories hope a new suicide barrier spares other families the agony they experienced. yesterday, the bridge board unanimously approved the long time talked about suicide barrier after an emotional day of testimony. >> i l
