the new permanent lanes on the virginia side of the bridge will open tomorrow. that means there's going to be five lanes in each direction between the wilson bridge and springfield. and that means the entire virginia portion of the beltway will have at least five lanes each way when the express lanes between springfield and the american legion bridge open later this year.
