again as a new yorker he talked about a lot of things that he wants to change in new york, some of them very progressive like raising taxes for the wealthy and giving that to the underserved. but he also wants to do some things that are sort of iconic like we talked about this morning, getting rid of those horsen an buggy rides around central park. what is the general feeling about the massive change that he's trying to make there, and do you think that it's really going to come or is he going to get a lot of pushback with the city council and so forth. >> i mean, as always, i guess time will tell. we'll have to see how this all plays out but getting rid of horse carriages? seems like a minor thing but a big thing if you're visiting new york and to a lot of people who live here, too. a lot of people feel very strongly about that on so many different levels. will he succeed, will he get the support of the majority of new yorkers? well, he certainly won with a huge majority here. he seems to have the mandate. let's see. i think everyone wants to see whether he will be able to put this int

"the new yorker" came on some anniversary issue.every year around valentine's day, new yorker has its original cover. an old man in the top hat in the monocle looking at a butterfly. the name is eustace tilley. that name of the care there. so, that was the issue in which the paul haggis profile appeared. so freedom magazine is a scientology magazine that came out other cartoon of eustace tilley that was me, with coming out. and it was a slam and even took shots at the fact checkers, which annoyed me a lot. but because i think there were feeling especially stone because the fact checkers at "the new yorker" are really good. there was one checker on the article full-time for six months. at the end, we had six checkers include the head of the checking department going through this stuff. there is a way of watching about a vindictive organization as you note very carefully. that's the way to go about it. now, i will say this talk by publication in britain. and it may have different laws and may threaten to sue my publisher in a back out

that's not who new yorkerswe have so many viewers write in and say, who is he to say, who new yorkers are, i mean, you look at the state's make-up and yes, the state leans left. we have prior to governor cuomo a governor in this state. there have been many politicians in new york state who have been pro life and not anti-gun as governor cuomo would have the world believe. you talk about the importance of respecting minority rights, and the troubles it leads to when we don't do that? >> governor cuomo sounds a little like the governor of alabama when he was talking about the freedom bus, and saying that martin luther king, and those who want to march with martin luther king and march on the freedom bus should get out of the state, there's no place for those people here. i mean, where would the disenfranchised of the world in history be if we didn't have that push back. here's a group of people, and governor cuomo would be all for tenure at schools. but we can't fire a teacher because we need to protect that disc

only 17% of new yorkers actually agree with him on that. so is he saying that that point isn't extreme and these extreme points are the only ones that are allowed in the state of new york? i don't think he makes a lot of sense. he's not really looking at the numbers in new york. 76% favor parental notification. 35% call them pro life, so this was a political comment. it's not going to help him going forward. >> i wonder if he was giving an invitation to conservatives to leave new york. >> i think de blasio gave him progressive rabies. he had just become mayor. nobody calls out the extreme left. and there are those in his own state who coddle terrorists, if you want to google the speaker of the new york city council. that somehow is not as bad as being pro life. it's a triumph of the pro-abortion movement that they have been able to relegate a fetus to a tumor status. and i don't know. i guess it's because fetuses don't vote. >> it's amazing how eerie how he sounds like his father. >> not as smart. >> just amazing. >> do you think it hurts hi
