what more do we know about southwest's decision to stop flying out of newark? >> well, listen.had hoped to have 75 max planes in their fleet by the end of december. and at this point every one of their planes is grounded. they've already had to take 34 of the planes that are currently in their fleet out of service. and so they have been struggling all summer. in this record-breaking summer they've had to cancel 20,000 flights already. so the idea that they're going to go all the way into the rest of the year and by the way that means thanksgiving and christmas without any clarity on when they're going to be able to fly their planes. they simply said we cannot operate like that. we need to start rebalancing, reallocate access. so cutting flights to newark as of the 1st or 3rd of november and then now not going to fly the max until january 2020. this is very big news. we've been hearing for some time this was a possibility, and now this is the first airline to make that announcement. >> i don't think anybody wants to get these planes in the air until they're actually ready to go.

you were mayor of newark and part of that record comes with the doj report which talks about some of your time as mayor and says that black residents were at least two and a half times more likely than white residents to be stopped, to be arrested or searched. and the report says this about black residents, quote, this undeniable experience of being disproportionately affect by the newark police department's unconstitutional policing helps explain the community distrust and cynicism in policing new york. do you believe this hurt black residents under your watch? >> i took responsibility. i inherited a police department that had decades of challenges with accountability, of challenges along racial lines and we actually stepped up to deal with the problem. not only working with the doj, but working with the aclu to put forward what was a national standard setting level of accountability. so i'm proud of that record as a mayor of trying to take on these problems and, frankly, as a senator i'm one of the few senators who have put forth legislation to put forward more police accountabilit

the doj opened up an investigation into the department in newark in 2011. indicates there is, polling out of south carolina, monmouth university poll that came out earlier this hour, it shows perhaps a reason that cory booker is kind of added to this chippiness if you may. polling shows him at just 2% in south carolina right now. if you look at joe biden's support, while nationally overall among the black electorate it has gone down a few percentage points over the last month but if you look at the south carolina numbers, he is still at 39% support overall. kamala harris is in second. if you look at the voter share between black voters and white voters, black voters 51% of them say that at this moment in time they support joe biden's candidacy. you know, it should be noted that on a radio program this morning joe biden also brought up kamala harris and said that he thought that they were friends and he said he hoped they would be going forward. that comes after a fundraiser last night in which joe biden told donors he did not have the intention to be quite
