closing two schools in the school district, newark unified, is a big deal. they only have a total of ten schools and parents here are trying to figure out how they ended up at the top of the closure list. they plan to march once again like they did here two weeks ago. they're angry saying the district did not properly notify parents about the process and families say reports from a school closure committee did not get translated into spanish and left them in the dark. the school has launched nearly 1500 students since 2009 and report from california has found that the district has had a lot of staff turn over in recent years. superintendents, board members, department heads. that's left a lack of planning and management. parents and teachers are still holding out hope that they can save their school. >> we thought for sure we wouldn't be there because we just had a 22 point raise in our test scores two years ago. no school has ever done that. >> i tell them that it is not final. we have to raise our voices. we have to be out here. >> i got a little teary eye
