sara bloomquist is live at newcastle county police in minquadale. >> reporter: jim in a news conference we got a few details on how the fbi found michael trotta and his 3-year-old daughter elinor in the state of massachusetts, it was 3:30 this afternoon when s.w.a.t. teams moved into and took him into custody and recovered the little girl safely in spencer, massachusetts and elinor's

trotta assaulted the girl's mother and took the daughter from the home they share in newcastle delaware, they found his car a mazda a few blocks away and the amber alert was issued in states where he had contacts he was thought to be driving a red suv possibly a jeep cherokee after an intense aggressive investigation, detectives were able to locate elinor and are working to reunite her with her mother, in connection with these series of events trotta was wanted on reckless endangerment and other charges. elinor is now in the care of the fbi and efforts are underway to reunite the girl with her mother. >> we are awaiting the news conference to begin and awaiting details about how this all came about and michael trotta and his daughter were found in massachusetts. live in minquadale, i'm sara bloomquist channel 6 "action news." >>> thank you sara, now to a developing story a natural gas explosion leveled auto home at the jersey shore 15 people were hurt and two of them critically and evacuations remain there tonight. >> it happened in stafford township ocean county and it's now nothing bu

a dusting, less than half inch likely in newcastle county. but the farther south and east you go the more you'll see. two to four inches in cape may county. but by far the heaviest snowfall is already falling in southern delaware in sussex county. this is where we could see three to six inches during the day today. and it will be going by 8:00 9:00 this morning. even north and west very light snowfall. by 9:00 the steadiest, heaviest snow still in delaware and south jersey especially right along the coast. by 10:00, you see it tapering off north and west. by 11:00, well it's looking pretty steady in south jersey at that hour. as we go into noon and 1:00 that's when we'll see it quickly taper off. light snow for philadelphia. could see a dusting to half an inch. 20s for most of the day. we'll probably hit 31 degrees this afternoon as clouds will be drying up this afternoon. making weekend plans? count on sunshine for saturday. but sunday the clouds are back. and by sunday evening, we're tracking some more wet weather. a chance of some snow and

we'll see some light accumulation in newcastle county. the heavier accumulations most likely in south jersey in cape may, coastal new jersey atlantic county will see pretty good accumulations of two to four inches. and to the south, sussex county is going to see the bulk of the snow of three to six inches from this storm. the wind is already at 12 miles an hour. that's the wind that matt delucia was talking about blowing the snow across the boardwalk this morning. 9:00 this morning, snow still coming down. but as we go into the later morning hours, that snow starts to taper off first north and west while there's still steady snow at 11:00. watch how quickly that changes. at noon time it starts to taper off in delaware. by 1:00 it starts to come to an end in new jersey. in philadelphia could see a dusting to half an inch in philadelphia. temperatures will be pretty steady through the morning in the upper 20s. and then low 30s this afternoon. look at the seven-day forecast with your weekend when i'm back in ten. >> all right, bill thanks. i
