. >> reporter: police say newell then left the building, wept to his car to get a handgun and returned to shoot more. >> he then reproached the building and entered the building again firing the weapon and was tackled and brought to the ground by two individuals inside the township building. he was restrained until the troopers took him into custody. >> reporter: according to the record newspaper, one of its reporters was at the township building when newell opened fire, writing, i heard more than ten shots, it was automatic like a string of fire crackers. i crawled out to a hallway and got outside. there's nothing in reality you can compare it to. it was just not a reality. all i could think was it wasn't happening to me. he reportedly had a long running dispute with township officials over the condition of his property. >> i'm not really sure if he was -- if he personally knew the individuals who had been killed tonight. all i know is he had an on going dispute with the township over his property. >> reporter: and the latest information we have for you, three people dead and three in
