stephanie lin joins us now live from the newsroom with more on the decision. stephanie, what are you learning? >> well, vicki grant, we now know the name of the suspect. san francisco police arrested lee haywood. he initially faced several charges, including negligent discharge of a firearm and carrying a concealed firearm in a vehicle. but as you just said, the da's office will not pursue those charges. following the arrest, a district attorney brooke jenkins sharing this with kron 4. she says this is a complex investigation involving multiple crime scene locations. many witnesses as well as significant evidence that must be analyzed. she goes on to say this type of investigation takes time to complete. and we are working with sfpd to ensure they gather all relevant of evidence that we need to evaluate this case and make appropriate charging decisions. the da's office goes on to say the case against haywood has been dropped. but the investigation remains open and active da jenkins and her office saying that this was a random shooting. there's no threat to the
