former house speaker newt gingrich. i'm sure others have called it-- how is this ever going to be resolved? >> it may not be in the short-run. i think you have to give paul ryan a lot of credit for an enormous amount of work. so much work that he actually got the senate democrats to bring up a budget for the first time in almost four years, but i think you're in a period where you can tell from the president's failure to send a budget that he's figured out this is not a winning issue. this is not part of what he's going to focus on right now. because it won't get him anywhere and he'll just make-- he'll make the country irritated and his allies mad because to write a budget you'd have to have too much pain in it and i think what minority leader pelosi said is standard politics. it would be interesting to have, it particularly with republicans in the house, with their ability to do things and the senate doesn't, to find something the senate is for. and interesting to say to the democrats are there three things in the rya
