i'm betty nguyen. recovery efforts are under way in north texas this morning after up to a dozen tornadoes ransacked the dallas area. more than a dozen people were injured, but so far there are no reports that anyone was killed. this remarkable video is not a scene from "the wizard of oz." one twister actually picked up tractor-trailer and threw them around like matchsticks. dozens of homes were damaged. this video was taken by mike napoli of the texas rangers from the dugout at the ballpark in arlington as the storm hit. the storm disrupted travel and left thousands without power. karen brown is in hard-hit forney, texas, east of dallas. good morning. what's it like there? >> reporter: good morning to you, betty. many of the homes here in the subdivision are as damaged as the one you see here behind me, but no major injuries were reported. and entire families say they survived in their bathtubs. you know, betty, this area of texas is often referred to as god's country. and at the very least, many beli

i'm betty nguyen. a gunman who walked into a california college made it clear what he had in mind. hi told them get in line, i am going to kill you all. when he opened fire yesterday morning at least seven were kill and three others were killed. the suspect, a former student, surrendered at a nearby shopping center. police say they have no motive. good morning. >> reporter: well, good morning, betty. and i can tell yu at this hour the 43-year-old one l.goh remains in jail. they say while they have their suspect, they still don't have a motive as to what led to the school shooting that ended seven lives. gunshots could be heard outside a christian college in oakland, california. witnesses say a former student pulled out a gun and started shooting people inside classrooms at oikos university monday morning. >> i heard a gunshot sound and right after that, i heard one woman scream. >> reporter: heavily armored police rushed to the scene and surrounded the campus. lucas garcia was teaching a class when he
