>> good morning, on the east shore freeway traffic is moving nicely. all the way from richmond to oakland. westbound bay bridge traffic is moving along nicely if you are drying up the problem. coming up at 5:00 let's go back to the defect. >>> two gunmen that shot and killed a baby and wounded his parents. tara moriarty has reaction now from some outraged city officials. good morning, tara. >> reporter: good morning. community members here in pahl alto is outraged. now last night about 50 people gathered for a vigil on wisteria drive where two gunmen shouting killed a three-month- old boy. the family was leaving a baby shower when the men approached their car and started shooting. a bullet struck the baby in the head and died later at the hospital. >> we will be stead fast in tracking them down and making sure that they receive their just deserve. it was the one thing that i promised the mother who is still in the hospital. >> reporter: now the mother and father are still in serious condition and police believe they were targeted. here's a look at sket

here is that high pressure building nicely.s is what we will see by tomorrow and that means temperatures are going to warm up nicely. in the meantime for this evening we have got low 50s to low 80s mostly clear inland. mostly clear with low clouds for the bay and clouds and sun for the coast. we are going to see some clouds, not much to contend with there but still a little bit of a cooldown for tonight. santa rosa 47. napa and fairfield and vallejo 54. oakland at 55 degrees. here is a look at these temperatures warming up nicely. in addition we are going to see thousands u.v. indexes. union city 76. half moon bay, pacifica seeing fog working its way over the region. temperatures ranging from the low to mid-60s for tomorrow. we have got pleasant hill and walnut creek at 87. antioch and brentwood 90 degrees. so be sure. grab that sun screen when you head out because you're going to have to reapply it often. u.v. index at 9. santa rosa 85 along with mill valley. valley 81. low 60s to low 90s for tomorrow. high 60s to 90. tuesday

this afternoon here comes the sunshine temperatures warming up nicely. warmer than yesterday, breezy beside the bay in the afternoon plenty of sunshine out there. by the coastline a couple patches of fog, high pressure, as the ridge starts to set itself up. offshore wind kicking into tomorrow, today a transitional day but nice one indeed we will see very pleasant temperatures 77 in sunny vail, 75 fremont, 75 degrees in redwood city and 80 degrees in los gatos east bay numbers up in the 70s. 82 walnut creek and 80 degrees pleasant hill. looking to the north bay, we will see some very nice temperatures there as well. 70s. 80s getting warm some folks might call it getting hot as we head in toward the next few days, 90s showing up interior valley s with that offshore wind slightly cooler not by much wednesday and then looks like more significant cooling as it turns to low cloud and fog. will help to bring temperatures down right now the last full week of spring looking very nice around the bay area. >>> traffic is not too bad we started off busy but it is qu

conditions looking nice here. have a look at the bay bridge coming up but right now back to you, frank and sydnie. >> thank you. >>> a major breakdown in police negotiations in san jose and this morning, it could mean even more officer layoffs. elizabeth wenger joins us from police headquarters with the sticking points. good morning. >> reporter: good morning. that's right. they were really crossing their fingers this morning, at stake more than 150 police officer jobs. talks broke down last night between city leaders and the police association. we'll break it down on the numbers of what we're talking about here. without a deal, the city says it will have to lay off 278 officers. so an agreement could save 156 of those police officer jobs. obviously, public safety an issue here. the "san jose mercury news" says the main sticking point right now appears to be changes in pensions. of course, looming over this whole situation is a budget deficit. this is san jose's tenth straight budget gap which now stands at $115 m

nice speeds through there.e maps, heading 280 through san jose, everything is actually moving at some nice speeds there. typically we see delays just after 7:00. so still holding steady on the northbound side of 280 through downtown san jose and also the rest of the south bay milpitas, 880/237 connector, a few cars out there on the roads so it is getting busy but still seeing okay speeds there, as well. elsewhere, we are heading to the bay bridge on the lower deck a broken-down vehicle just past treasure island. that's now cleared. extra volume on the upper deck out of oakland into san francisco. live look at the bay bridge right now. if you are heading towards the toll plaza, metering lights are still off. i'll check on that in just a minute. but you can see traffic is starting to back up so they are probably going to turn them on in a few minutes. still okay out of the maze and the eastshore freeway. not a lot going on here, everything cleared both directions, headlines towards hayward traffic moving well the
