the sun looks nice, downtown san jose. looks like a nice place to go grab some lunch. job outlook across the country, nothing short of bleak. experts say there is a bright spot. guess what, it's right here in the bay area. our own bob redell joins us. >> reporter: credit software and companies for that growth, adobe in downtown san jose, looking to hire over 100 people in this location alone. that's just one company. there are many other adobe's out there, which is why a group of economic forecasters out of ucla are so optimistic about the job opportunities especially here in the south bay. january and august of this year, san jose, sunnyvale area added more than 20,000 jobs, more than 12,000 up the peninsula, marin. and the east bay almost 5,000. the growth rate was double the rest of the bay area and the bay area overall was much better than the state and the entire country, for that matter. remember, nationwide, there were no new jobs added in august. in spite of the strong growth year, ucla anderson forecast, unemployment rate to stay around 12% through the rest of
