it's still nice and mild today. upper 60s, low 70s. going to be warmer compared to yesterday. tonight we're back down to the upper 40s and low 50s. next week we're looking at dry conditions with the exception of a slight chance of rain for parts of the sierra. this large area of high pressure builds. it keeps rain away. keeps the skies clears. we're going to have hot temperatures for the end of next week. we take a look at our ten-day temperature trend, we're nice and springlike. then we go to summer next week. the temperatures spike very quickly from wednesday all the way up to 90 degrees on thursday and the upper 80s on friday. that's going to dry out everything a lot faster especially when we hit the heat waves earlier in the season. our temperatures will be in the 70s. next week you want to think about how you can keep cool as temperatures heat up. vianey, you had an issue for the east bay. >> yeah, listen up, we're seeing some slow spots. the big one is westbound 580. you can see the yellow and orange that marks the delays there.

we are still going to enjoy a nice day. our temperatures in the low 60s in san mateo, but we could see low 70s as you go down to the south bay, as well as the inland east bay, up to fairfield as well. then we're also going to see temperatures not as cool tonight with low to mid-50s. that's as the rain starts to move in. as we go through the timeline of the showers, by 8:00, 9:00, 10:00, we start to see it moving into the north bay, quickly spreading through the bay area before noon tomorrow. then by 4:00 to 5:00, we're starting to see rain taper off. most of it comes during tomorrow morning and then we're looking at the best of that rain up around santa rosa, much of the rest of the north bay getting about a quarter inch of rain and it's going to be a lot less heading from the east bay into the south bay. maybe a few hundredths of an inch. for the sierra, 1 to 4 inches of snow, but there will be another system coming in this weekend that could bring additional snowfall, another few inches, and in total this week we could se
