cleveland 19's nichole vrsansky is getting answers for us this morning. i remember going through this four times, being petrified of this. anytime you were like, oh, my god. what do we do? nothing. >> nichole: a new parent you wish there was a guideline book for everything to do and what not to do. there just isn't. the good news is i guess for all the soon-to-be parents getting that new nursery ready for the baby, there's no rush. the american academy of pediatrics is now recommending that you sleep in the same room as your child for up to a year. they say babies should sleep in their parents' bedroom for at life, and ideally for the first year. researchers say this can reduce the number of sids deaths by 50%. other suggestions include putting babies on their back to sleep on a firm mall tress, this bumpers or blankets or pillows or toys. dr. winter says breast feeding is also recommended, but moms remember to put that baby in a sleep space after, especially during the wee hour feedings when you sleep. >> reduce the risk of sids by 70%. >> exclusive breas
