government on the unity of nato but also on the question of crimea we do have our correspondent in kiev nick connelly standing by for us and nick a lot of people there of course watching this summit and helsinki very closely as well what are people there expecting you know sumi well this definitely is going to be a nail biter couple of hours until we hear more what is comes out of these. talks i think the real fear is that. president trump show move some ground he's been very vague about crimea in the weeks that have run up to this meeting he was pressed repeatedly and basically said we'll wait and see he's refused to categorically say that there will not be recognition u.s. recognition for russia's defector control of crimea. having said that on the fringes of the nato summit last week there was a meeting between ukraine's present poroshenko and president trump and they were spreading the message that from their point of view they're really hoping and expecting that nothing really much will come out of this this is about dialogue so the hope here from kiev will be that this is just the beginning of
