past weekend bishop guertin senior nick won the indoor in the high jump and will play at u.n.h., nick lorton. >> i chose u.n.h. football because i any the program is the best fit for me. their offense is very similar to what we ran this year, so i think that will be the best fit i'm the best teammate i can and give 100% to every my. making plays and who ever wants it more is who ever is going to make the biggest play. i started high jump in 8th grade because my parents and coaches encouraged me to participate in track because they said it would help with football. i tried high jumping one day and my coach said i did pretty well, so i just carried on with that. if you have strong legs and a good vertical, that doesn't mean anything in high jump, you have to have the technique to get over the bar, it all about how you go over the bar, when you bend your back. i was hoping to beat my high school record. i'm expecting it to be a lot more difficult than high school football. with the teammates and the new hampshire guys who will be with me eventually i'll fit right no. compete at u.n.h. >>> tonig
