[applause] dr. mueller: great to be with you all. i can move to the subject of my remarks. i appreciate that i am the only thing, as they say, between you and drinks. we will try to be brief and hopefully it will be interesting. i will tell you some stories about how this museum became involved in "saving private ryan" with steven spielberg and tom hanks became involved with us, and then a little bit about the film, especially from ambose's perspective and its early version. as you know, we began as a d-day museum. from our earliest incarnation, we were sort of hooked at the hip with saving private ryan in 1998 when i first became chairman and ceo. i was on the board since stephen ambrose and i became to envision what a small museum of $1 million to $4 million might look like. eight years later, after repeated failures to get open and raise money, steve says you have to help finish this off. the university gratefully gave me a couple of years three-quarter time devoted to the museum and that is what happened at the same moment of sav
