nick smith, abc7 news.go now to amy hollyfield in hayward with our other top story. >> reporter: good morning, nick. universities in hayward are hoping to figure out today whether the remains found in the weekend belong to man or woman. they say it will take some time before they figure out who the remains belong to. volunteers discovered the bones over the weekend in an organized search for michelle lee. they found them in remote part of alameda county. investigators say there is nothing to indicate they do or don't belong to lee. finding le's body would helpt prosecutors' case against esteban whoas is charged with le's murder. she is expected in court today and due to enter a plea. le disappeared in may. her family has organized eight searches for her. it was one of the searches over this past weekend that stumbled upon the remains. her relatives have not commented yet on this discovery. live in hayward, amy hollyfield, abc7 news. >> thanks a lot. final check of weather and traffic. >> the air is clean an

nick smith is live in san jose with the latest on the strange case. nick? >> reporter: eric, good morning. investigators say that paul ray castillo is responsible for violent crime spree that lasted three days here in san jose. last night, they made an arrest and they believe they have a violent man off of the street. after three-day manhunt, 33-year-old paul ray castillo was captured at around 7:30 last night in west sacramento by officers from the san jose police department who tracked him there. investigators have been working non-stop to find the man they called public enemy number one. castillo had eluded capture since friday when police say he wounded one man at a gas station and later kidnapped and killed this woman, radio host, real estate agent and mother cindy nguyen of campbell. police thought they had him surrounded friday night in a large san jose apartment complex on north king road but after an all-night search they discovered castillo somehow slipped past them. on saturday morning the body of nguyen was found inside castillo's one-time home
