executive producer chris roach and producer nick terry accepted the award on our behalf in new york city last night. newscenter 5 at 11's coverage of the "revere tornado" was the award-winning entry. emily: congratulations to all. a special honor, cindy. cindy: seems like a long time ago, doesn't it? notice the radar this morning is active. you want to have an umbrella with you as you're heading out the door this morning. we're not seeing much of any activity just yet. a couple spotty showers in the western part of the state. look at this area of embedded downpours even thunder right now east of the tip of long island. this whole area is lifting toward the north so it's kind of a broken line but this whole line is moving at about 30 miles an hour. so within the next half an hour around the vineyard and nantucket, you may start to see a few rain drops. it will take later than that in the next couple of hours to lift into southeastern massachusetts but through about 10:00 this morning as this area of low pressure lifts by us to the north, we are going to have the risk of a shower even an e

executive producer chris roach and producer nick terry accepted the award on our behalf in new york city last night. really special honor. randy: nick, of course, spent a number of years with us here. emily: a former "eyeopener" producer. randy: there in the glory of new york. emily: absolutely. cindy, umbrella alert. cindy: rain is moving in. also dealing with fog now across a lot of eastern massachusetts. wherever you see the white it's really reducing visibility on the south coast and the cape. you can see around plymouth, visibility down to a half a mile. also notice the radar is active. a few showers here on the western part of the state. but some heavier downpours now closing in on coastal rhode island and here toward buzzards bay. this is all filling in. lighter rains here on martha's vineyard and nantucket with a few sprinkles here and rain drops all the way up toward the plymouth area but there have been embedded thunderstorms. this cluster right here is weakening at the moment but heavy downpours with this reaching new bedford likely in the next half an hour or so. so a heads-u

executive producer chris roach and producer nick terry accepted york city last night. pretty exciting moments. randy: we've won the award before. it's always a treat to be honored by those in the field. olessa: good morning, everyone. very foggy conditions behind me on the expressway. there it is. by the gas tank near morrisey boulevard. you can see the northbound side there moving away slowly with lots of brake lights. let's get to the maps. if you're travellalling south 24 still dealing with this crash. it's clearing on northbound by 128 but delays into brockton. also slow on 95 from sharon and those delays on route 3 from weymouth into braintree. once you get there, your ride on the expressway is almost 30 now from braintree to boston. and the pike picking up volume as well. 0-minute ride from 495 out to 128. then more delays as you travel route 3 south. two accidents one by 495, another by treble cove and then some delays on 93 southbound from andover all the way down to the leverett connector. trains and buses still running on schedule. cindy, seeing some of that
