let's check in now with nick valencia in the cnn center in atlanta. we know the school principal was one of the adults killed along with the school psychologist. i'm hearing you just got off the phone with another teacher who was there when it happened. tell us what she said. >> good morning, ali, i just spoke to a teacher, one of the music teachers who is being called a hero at sandy hook elementary school. it's reported that she barricaded herself along with a group of children while the suspected gunman knocked on the door trying to get in. i spoke to her earlier this morning from her home in seymour, connecticut, she told us, ali, it's a little bit too hard to talk right now. but her prayers and thoughts are with her friends and families of those that lost loved ones. ali? >> oh, wow. what else have you got on victims, nick? >> well, as you mentioned, ali, 26 people died in all in newtown, connecticut, yesterday. six of those adults, one of them is 56-year-old mary sherlock, a school psychologist, and there's no doubting her success, ali, she'd bee

let's go to nick valencia at the cnn center in atlanta. nick, two of the adults inside the school have been identified. what do we know about them? >> as you mentioned all morning, this story really is about the victims. two of the names that we know so far, two of the adults, six adults were shot in all, two names that we have been able to confirm, dawn hochsprung, she was the principal at sandy hook elementary school since 2010. she's described, ali, as someone you would want educating your children. sort of the teacher's teacher. she was very involved educator, memorable for her enthusiasm and that wonderful smile you see there. she spent her career rising through the ranks of the connecticut education system, working in various elementary schools, middle schools, and high schools. those that know her and knew her remember her as somebody who created an environment that made you feel accepted, made you feel important. she was just 47 years old, ali. and she leaves behind two daughters and three stepdaughters. also, one of the adult victi

joining me to talk about this is nick valencia.cktracked, but what would the change have done? >> yeah, well, this is a huge privacy issue, randi. obviously, this company didn't have the terms of service agreement in place back in october 2010 that it had now. essentially, it would have taken your photo that you're so proud of and taken it and sold it to the highest bidder without giving you any profit at all. a lot of people are saying this is an attack on intellectual property and many people mad about this, angry about this. in fact, there's a statement out from instagram that said because of the feedback we have heard from you, we are reverting this advertising section to the original version that has been in effect since we launched the service in october of 2012, instagram has no intention of selling your photos and we never did. we don't own your photos, you do. so a little talking out of both sides of their mouth. >> there's the fact instagram would've made money, but also, of course, a privacy issue. >> i think that's what

nick valencia is here to talk more about this so this actually resurfaced on cnn through an i-report.ou actually had a chance to watch it. >> i did watch the video and in full disclosure, transparency, not allowed to show the video for legal reasons, but it's pretty dramatic video. he lifts up a tank over his head, a u.s. army tank on the ground and uses his mike to crush the pieces that remain. he made the comments after 2004. you'll remember how divisive the iraq war was, of course, i don't have to tell you, but he made the comments after there was an execution of a korean missionary in iraq. a lot of people in south carolina at the time blamed the u.s. occupation there in 2004 on the reason why this missionary was executed. some of the lyrics, randi, are pretty dramatic. they say kill those f'ing yankees torturing iraqi captives and calls for the death of the mothers and doubt errs and the westerners that killed and led to the execution of the south korean missionary. >> he's apologizing. >> trying to do a pr blitz and issued this apology and he said while i'm grateful for the free

nick valencia has been covering that part of the story for us. police have a new statement about this crime. he is at the center of our news-gathering operations in atlanta. nick, can you give me the latest on that? >> reporter: yeah, good morning. as you mentioned, we're still waiting and standing by for what was scheduled to be an 8:00 a.m. press conference by local police. meanwhile, they've issued this press release. state police has put out a statement further confirming, in fact, the timeline that we've been reporting all morning. they say the first call from sandy hook elementary school came in at about 9:30 this morning. newton police department immediately requested the assistance of state police. in fact, they knew right away the tragedy and scope and magnitude of the tragedy that they had on their hands. upon arrival, troopers and officers, the statement says, immediately entered the school where they found several students and staff, soledad, suffering from gunshot wounds at the front of the building. 18 children, 18 children were pron

nick valencia joins me now. nick, police say the suspect shot his father with a bow and arrow in front of a room of cle college students? >> incredibly troubling day and one you hope never happens in your community. we talked to casper, wyoming, police department a while ago and they told me their investigation is ongoing but they still don't have a motive for exactly what happened. what we do know about the suspect, 25-year-old chris crumb, who is the son of one of the professors killed in this incident, with he know that chris crumb drove at some point recently from connecticut, vernon, connecticut, to wyoming, 2,000 miles. at some point friday something snapped. that's when police say he killed his father's live-in girlfriend and traveled to local casper community college and killed his father. what the miraculous thing in this whole incident that happened is that his father was alive long enough despite being shot in the head with a crossbow, despite being shot in the head was alive long enough to struggle wi
