>> reporter: that is right nicole. family of shane montgomery is getting the closure that they need, after confirming that a body found in the schuylkill river is of shane montgomery. now the body was found by a group of volunteer divers just before noon time in about 4 feet of water in a river bank behind the manayunk brewery company a along main street. that is less than half mile from kildares irish pub, last place the 21 year-old was last seen early thanksgiving morning. surveillance video shows shane walking across the bridge spanning manayunk canal toward a parking lot next to the schuylkill river. shane's keys were found in that same area shortly before christmas. family spoke out to the media yesterday. >> today we have done what we have promised. we have found and we have brought shane home. we wanted to thank the garden state under water recovery unit, the philadelphia marine unit, north west detectives, the philadelphia police department, and saint john the baptist, mike rhodes and the brew pub and their emp

"eyewitness news" reporter nicole brewer is there right now with more on this story nicole, good morning. >> reporter: good morning, ukee and erika. we are learning more about that 76 year-old woman, victim in this fire fatality. we're told by family members her name is marilyn crammer, again, 76 years old. we are told she was not well and is staying with relatives when this fire broke out. they tell us that they smoke on the front porch a and that is what started these flames. in yeadon delaware county an elderly woman was found dead on her front porch victim of the fatal fire on providence road. >> crew is a arrived to find heavy smoke coming from the front porch area when they did their sides up they entered the building to find fire in the front porch area. >> reporter: with heavy smoke making its way to the second and third floor and sent fire damage through the roof, fire officials a say it took 20 minutes to get the the flames under control. freezing temperatures made a tough job all the more difficult for these volunteer fire fighters. >> we have encountered a lot of ice and crew

"eyewitness news" reporter nicole brewer joins us from that scene with the very latest nicole good morning. >> reporter: good morning erika. you can see the scene mostly clear here but investigation still very much underway. fire officials trying to determine what caused a fire on the first floor of a row home that ultimately killed the man living inn side. inside this row home in ogontz ape deadly fire ripped through first floor claiming life of the military veteran who appears to have been disabled. >> process of the fire we found one older adult male on the first floor. this person was transport ed to the hospital by medic 29, once we get to the hospital he was pronounced. >> reporter: victim's death marks first fire fatality of the year. fire officials say the home has working smoke detectors and elderly victim may have been cooking. >> right now it appears that the origin is first floor kitchen area. we don't know for sure, we are still investigating that appears to be where the origin is. we want to remine people that if you cook make sure you don't leave your cooking unattended. >>
