nicole brewer for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". >>> good tips. right now 5:13. lets get traffic and weather together on the three's. the first in new jersey the shore there it is drying out after the nor'easter moves north. in sea bright monmouth county coastal storm brought storm wind and heavy rain that flooded some streets. that storm also caused scattered power outages but this is such a big storm we will feel effects of it katie. >> absolutely, brunt of it is out of have here but damage was done yesterday in the form of the tidal flooding but i don't think you have to worry at all about additional flooding issues but just nuisance lingering variety of showers that will be moving our way here as the the day progresses and even into tomorrow if you can believe it. storm scan three shows why, we will just see round, the bands have of rain or snow showers sort of rounding about, on the back edge of the storm system. so because it is all coming in from north to south it draws in some of that colder air and we will expect that we will see a few snow flakes as the

i'm nicole brewer on this new years eve lots of folks wondering what the forecast will look like for works show, katie. >> i think generally speaking nicole this is a pretty great forecast. it will be chilly but it is coming up on january. not the most unheard of forecast we have ever seen but more about perception this time around. it has been a lot milder last few weeks and today it will be a lot colder. storm scan three featuring even just a little hint of lake effect snow none which affects us here but it is out there to usher in a couple cloud, otherwise expect mostly sunny skies, brisk, cold high of 35 after all. after the the stroke of midnight we are thinking 28 degrees. we will bottom out to 22. happy new year tomorrow we will end up in the 30's. carbon cop which more sunshine. storm by the weekend though vittoria. >> not looking forward to that but we have some sun on this new years eve. may cause, tsunami glare so put the shade down or on. on i-95 and rest of the majors it looks like it is gorgeous out there no signs of a rush hour. there is a little bit of sun glare on the

i'm nicole brewer. we have a check of the forecast but thankfully rain has moved out but you said some winds are good. we are finding wind and rain, that whole combination coming up, because we have a coastal storm coming and that is going to be starting early on tuesday morning and continuing throughout the day on tuesday. which makes right now, look very calm, by comparison, we have got blue skies over ben franklin bridge. we head down to the shore. notice how that ocean is kicking up. this is rehoboth beach but you're finding a similar look along the coastline every where. 39 degrees there. notice wind, 26-mile an hour winds. we will go over to storm scan three and thinks where you'll see areas in green. this is coastal flood advisory, the pink beyond that is gale watch and warning that we have not just for this morning but also for tomorrow morning as well. so atlantic, burlington, cape may, sussex counties, we've got a lot of, a lot of weather coming and in fact a lot of that weather will be moving
