nicole jacobs is live in roxbury right now with the very latest. nicole. >>reporter: breeanna. there are three incidents police are investigating this morning trying to determine if they are connected. they all happened within a short time of one another, and within about two miles or less video this morning. first there were reports of shots fired near ruggle street and then a short is distance away and a short time later at ruggle street there was a campus cruiser slammed into by a vehicle. you can see that there is front end damage of that vehicle and the rear damage of the cruiser. it's unclear if any of the occupants of that vehicle were taken into custody. there were reports that those occupants may have fled the vehicle following the crash. a police officer was in that cruiser. it's unclear if there are injuries there, but as you can see it does not appear to be terribly serious. and then another incident a short distance away on mcgrievey street. there were shots fired there as well. you can see not only shell casings, but also two vehicles with bullet holes completely

nicole jacobs is live in roxbury with the details. nicole. >>reporter: nick, there are three incidents police are investigating this morning, and they just confirmed at least two of them are connected. they all happened in close proximity and in a very short video this morning. boston police are confirming that a vehicle was speeding away from the ruggles street area right near the "t" station where shots were reported to have been fired. that vehicle crashed into a wentworth campus police cruiser. we know one person was taken into custody, three others reportedly ran away from that scene. then a short distance away on mcgrievey street, more shots were reported to have been fired where two vehicles were you can see the windows completely shattered there. again, campus police are -- or i should say that campus police officer who was inside the cruiser was taken to the hospital for evaluation. and all of this, of course, remains under investigation. it has yet to be determined if that mcgrievey street incident is connected to the other two. we'
