fox weather's nicole valdez joins us live from palm springs here with an update on the current condition is likely just a glimpse of some of the intense flooding that the palm springs and really coachella valley area experienced really sunday afternoon into the overnight hours. let me step out of the way to give you a much better view of what's left after what was tropical storm hillary dumped inches of rain on the coachella valley. a bone dry area. what you're looking at is a bridge that actually moves several feet over the wash beneath it. but you'll notice that at one point the water so high up, it was likely a rushing river moving all of this mud and debris over the road. and just beneath it, if you can see that wash is still flowing pretty strong with those currents from that mountain runoff. this is really just one of dozens of roads that remain closed today just impassable because of either debris and mud like you see here, or still intense water flow. we know in those overnight hours there were at least a handful of rescues. the california national guard, part of the several team
