nikki burdine is live in gaithersburg near police headquarters with more. nikki?>> reporter: good morning. katherine hoggle has been in police custody for a couple of days now. since she's been arrested on friday night, she hasn't been cooperating. she told police she doesn't know where her children are, just saying that they're safe. let me give you a little bit of background on this case. catherine was apprehended on friday night but her children, two-year-old jacob and three- year-old sarah have been missing for six and seven days and hope is dwindling. a search party has been in effect for the past week and her family had been organizing the search party in addition to her father. c.r.a. run had been on the -- catherine had been on the run till friday night when she was caught after a tip from the public helped police find her. family members and friends have been searching neighborhoods knocking on doors, handing out flyers, asking people to just keep an eye out for 2-year-old jacob and 3-year-old sarah. the children's father and catherine's husband was helpi

nikki? >> reporter: good morning. the project is here clearly and it's been here for more than a decade now driving a lot of people crazy and rightfully so. and maybe even more so in the future this after yesterday's council meeting. even more money was requested. montgomery county executive isiah leggett said he plans to ask for more money for the silver spring transit center. the three-level commuter terminal on colesville road. the project is already $30 million overbudget and self years behind schedule. at the rate the project has gone, the amount should be considerable. this isn't the first time more money was requested to finish that project. the original budget was at $26 million. then $93 million when they broke ground in 2000 #. now we're -- 2008. now we're sitting at $120 million. metro has been on one side, council on the other and the construction company there with no answers. earlier this year, the metro arked the structure here at the transit center is cracking. an additional

nikki burdine joins us with the latest. >> reporter: another shot at the way the n.f.l. handled investigation into the scandal and more questions about when they received the video. a law enforcement official says he sent that infamous video to n.f.l. security chief jeffrey miller at the le'sague headquarters in april. miller claims he never saw it. the official said he mailed it anonymously with a note attached saying ray rice elevator video. you have to see it. it's terrible. the official says he provided a disposable cell phone and asked for confirmation that it was received. miller issued a statement yesterday denying he ever received the video and did not see it until it was made public. just last week n.f.l. commissioner roger goodell reiterated no one at the n.f.l. saw the video before tmz released it. that official said he wanted to make sure the n.f.l. had the video before deciding on rice's punishment but at this time he has no plans to talk to the n.f.l. about this case. >> it's not just football players. other sports players as well. police in east lansing, m
