i had nikole on my podcast on undistracted and i asked her this question, why are folks so obsessed withth? unfortunately, a lot of those attorneys general and the biggest critics of this work haven't engaged with the work or read it, but a lot of them want us to ignore the fact that as brian stephenson says all of the time, slavery in this country did not end. it evolved and if things like the 1619 project and critical race theory are allowed to take their rightful place in academia and education, they know that what will happen is that marginalized people in this country, black people in particular will take our rightful place. we will take ownership of this country that we helped build. we will require that this government fully recognizes that its capitalism was built because enslaved africans were its first capital. and so demands like equitable policy, like reparation and like leadership that doesn't just reflect our color and it reflects our values we will stop at nothing to get those things when we know the truth and that is not a truth or future that they're invested in because
