we are talking along alvarado niles road and almaden boulevard closed at that intersection. emergency crews are on scene. we haven't confirmed about how serious the accident is, it will be blocked for a while. southbound 880 approaching stevenson, an accident involving up to 5 cars. still blocking lanes. traffic is very slow still from 238. and we'll head out back towards the east bay. this is still our hot spot all the way from richmond into berkeley. actually the backups are starting to slow down now in hercules and then really slows down in richmond. two separate crashes one at central and i think i mentioned another one at university. i want to show you some of the slowdowns now. this is one of those caltrans cameras. you can see these on their website westbound traffic slowing at carlson boulevard you can see there. eastbound gets by without a delay at all but in the commute direction unusual backups right now. also, just your usual slowdowns coming through the livermore valley up to about 28 minutes from the altamont pass and 680. heaviest traffic to north livermore. t
