this happened saturday afternoon at the shopping center off decoto and alvarado-niles roads in unionity. police say the 23-month-old boy walked away from his parents who were shopping in a store and ran into the parking lot. a car hit the boy and the child was killed. police say the driver is cooperating with the investigation.
