nisha, you remember that. the slide was really high, and we used to jump off the slide. i mean, we were -- we were -- don't do that. don't do what we did. i used to eat lunch here through the free lunch program, and i used to get snacks here. i played chess and checkers when kids played board games. i basically spent my entire childhood in this playground, and it was a place that was safe. it was a place that i loved to come to and language out, and i was so grateful that it was just in such close proximity to where i lived because it wasn't a far walk. and so renata, who was the rec director here at the time, she was absolutely amazing. and you know, we miss her dearly. she passed away a few years ago, but anitra is going to be the new person to run this rec place with a lot of the kids that are standing here behind me. and it does take a village, and it does take a lot of support, especially for our young people, who deserve to have every opportunity that is available to them. and it was because of programs like what existed here at margaret hayward playground is the r
