this is a nissan sentra and the back of engine 24, a san jose fire truck. a lot of damage there. that car was going very, very fast on capital expressway around 3:30 when it crashed into the back of the truck this morning. the three firefighters from this truck were in the brush over here in the road fighting a vegetation fire. the driver was in the middle of the road trying to get cones out so people who were driving by could see there was a truck parked there that had its emergency lights on. as he was out there doing that, this car sped by, and he jumped out of the way and was able to escape injury. however, the driver of the vehicle did not escape injury. he was taken to a trauma center where his injuries are not known at this time. get this, this is't the first time this month this has happened to the san jose fire department. >> this is our second accident involving a parked fire engine. in both cases the lights were on. we ask the public to be aware of the fire apparatus when they're parked on the side of the road with the lights on. >> reporter: this investigation now on
