city council member noel gallo who represents the district is leading a walking vigil. it's set to begin at the fruitvale transit village at any moment. donations continue to pour in. new at 6:00, emily turner on war that money is going. >> reporter: yeah. the community, the country, as well as the world have surrounded these victims with all their support and not just spiritually but also financially. here at the rickshaw several bands playing here tonight are going to be donating their door sales as well as their merchandise sales to those funds. there is no price tag you can put on the 36 lives lost. but those rallying around the ghost ship community have raised more than a million dollars in total. and that number continues to climb. >> this is a tremendous outpouring. this is not very common. and so we have now had it looks like about 20,000 donors to a handful of fundraisers. >> reporter: on his website there are 10 crowdsourcing fundraisers for families of dead victims. youcaring also hosts the two largest fundraisers. the first one is put together by the oakland
