and ktvu channel 2 reporter noelle walker is on the screen with what crews are saying about the break. >> reporter: to give you your barings right behind me is the 5 # 0 freeway. in front of that you can see where the crews are working on this water main break. they have been digging the hole bigger and bigger. and now finally have just jumped in to try to get some of that work done in the 300 block of mccarthur is closed. the broken water main flooded the street here this morning. about 11 customers are without water. that doesn't mean 11 families or homes. of those 11 at least one of them is a condo complex or apartment complex. so there are multiple units within those customers that are effected. now the digging started a couple hours ago this morning they had some trouble finding the source of this leak. and it appears again that they have just started to jump into that hole and do the real grunt work that needs to be done this morning. it is i'm going to tell you fairly loud operation. anybody that lives along the 300 block of mccarthur boulevard is probably not getting a great n
