think about the fact they now have a mobile phone company so nokia is a competitor and so is apple, and so is blackberry so that's one market in much it has an intense competition. in the area of publishing what google is involved and build a bookstore but it's also trying to offer sales and access to electronic versions using the system, and there's deals they negotiate with vendors and publishers are forming -- thorny. i'm not upset the university libraries are suckers and went to this corporate welfare deal without getting enough out of it if google months to do this and pretty cool things that make money from at what they are doing in the periodicals and with books is undermining the position that amazon has been for a number of years. amazon is the problem in the publishing industry. and believe me if i thought i could sell even one book i would write about amazon that they would make sure that i would never sell book. amazon just wants to sell. that's actually part of the problem. they're good and efficient and by driving down the price considering every book to be a commodity rat

what i would do is pull up the charts, look at nokia, look at r.i.m., htc, most of apple's revenue is coming from the iphone. that's just to stay on -- apple is firing on all cylinders, but there's some close competition, right? they're getting into the hardware space, samsung is now the world's smartphone maker. so there's a lot of fast followers, and they're going to compete on price. >> 37 million, though, col. you know better than me, that's what they mind in the fourth quarter. doesn't seem to be difficult to keep up the momentum, and the next version will sell a lot, too. you and me both know that. >> sure, but put it in perspective. we are in the thick of the rotation from features phones to smartphones, right? so 40% of u.s. buyers have already moved over to smartphones. when you move over to the second segment of the people buying smartphones, you're seeing more and more are briding android phones, right? on so again, we have to highlight apple is at the top of its game, but there is concern that people are chasing them on price, and apple will have a difficult time being a h
