back in july, public works and city clean, a non-profit, trying to beatify the city installed three pit stop portablablely put into service tuesday through friday from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. apparently during the peak restroom periods. they are located on ellis, turk and hyde in the mini park and golden gate. the areas that have the most problems. they come equipped with a place to dispose used syringes, dog litter and a toilet. each person is allowed five minutes to do what they have to do or they get a knock on the door are. talk about pressure. but are they working? some people say yes, it has cut down on public urination. sort of like what this guy is doing on myrtle alley. but. >> the porta-potty stops them for a minute. as soon as i leave, they come right here. those porta-potties need to be 24 hours a day. >> reporter: here is a problem with the toilets being here is 24 hours. people are using them as a shooting gallery. and since the tenderloin attendants report issue, there are further issues. however, people using san francisco city streets as public restrooms to the point you have to look where you
