part of the beauty of innovation is that it is non-partisan. and part of the other beauty of innovation is the best solutions prevail. and so, when we strip away points of view, and focus in on what technologies will actually work. we shift the equation from rhetoric to pragmatics. which products can get get to be field tested? which smart gun technologies will pass the government lab testing? and right now, if you wanted to buy a smart gun, you would have a very difficult time doing it. but what we can do in technology is advance the state, such that you have that option. and so, we are really careful to make sure that we focus in on innovation and use a tried and true, trusted process in the silicon valley and let the best ideas be the ones that are the ones that are commercially viable. >> give us some ideas, (inaudible). >> sure. the field of smart gun technology is an interesting field. it spans academic research, commercial research, a lot of the federal funding for smart gun technology in the u.s. stopped in the late 90s. and so, part of

shops because we did a lot of research on them across the country is whether they be bipartisan or non-partisan, the work shops talk about three issues. one segway on what richard fox told us. women need to be asked to run. in our workshop we just presented we asked people to run. that's the first thing that all campaign work shops i know about have. the second thing is they have to do with fund racing. as you heard, women can raise just as much money as men but they don't think they can. so we go into that. third, women have a real fear of working with the media. they perceive buys in the med yoo and they also perceive they are not going to be treated as well. they feel they are going to expose their family to a lot of scrutiny. so the last workshop shows women how to deal with the media and how they can present themselves in a positive manner with their communication with the immediate yafment that's what i'll talk about is 30 years of research on women in political candidates, their media coverage. i'm going to focus on their political tv advertising and their web sites. it's interesting to

progressively create more and more disruptions in the economy, and according to the independent non-partisan congressional budget office, if left in place throughout the calendar year, will result in the loss of 750,000 jobs. we will have 750,000 fewer american jobs in this country by the end of december than we would otherwise if we do not replace this sequestered. in addition to that, last week the chairman of the federal reserve, mr. ben bernanke said it the sequestered remains in place we can expect to see -- if the sequester remains in place, we can expect to see the economy the reduced by one- third. lots of jobs lost, and you would think we would at least have a chance to vote on a plan to avoid the 750,000 in job losses and disruption to the economy. very briefly, so what this proposal does is replace the sequester in a way that achieves the same amount of deficit reduction, but it does so in a way that does not result in a loss of 750,000 jobs and economic disruption, because it targets those cuts over time and closes lots of tax breaks. for example, it would eliminate the subsidies
