new this noon, a victim is in shock and under arrest. we're told police were called just after 5:00. so far, the victim and suspect identities have not been released. we're told the incident was domestic related. the baltimore city police department will hold a formal suspension hearing today with a detective charged with attempted at that. darlene was undercharges -- was under chart on her voter by about $300 at the food depot. the cashier is her daughter. she has been on the force since 1991. an internal affairs investigation is also underway in the department. the merger could be a done deal as early as today that the federal government has given its approval. it is one of the utilities that will soon be a part. you'll get a $100 credit within 90 days of the acquisition. bge will still have its headquarters in baltimore, but the merger means there'll be no longer any fortune 500 companies in baltimore. on the bright said, local economists say the merger should bring thousands of jobs to the state. >> to the d.c. weather station progra

harbor for a local family this noon. a mother of three killed after being caught in what police believe was an illegal car race. the 33-year-old died when she lost control of her car on randolph road yesterday. police say she was not part of the race but i knowingly tried to change lanes between -- unknowingly try to change lanes between two speeding cars. >> she was doing her best to support two children in central america and one at home. she never made it to work last night. police found out she was the victim of a street race. the pain is unbearable. he sits on his front porch this afternoon broken down, staring at his wife's photos, trying to accept that she is no longer here. >> the only thing i want is for those who did this to come forward and cooperate. >> two speeding reckless vehicles passed her on randolph road. police say the cars were racing.
