by noon away from the coast and most of the bay, we're seeing sunshine0 an back in th 60s and. weekend forecast coming up. >>> and a police chase ended with an officer-involved shooting and this morning police say that suspect was killed. this is near the intersection of pearman and apple. amy hollyfield has the details. >> reporter: look behind me, you can see police are still here on the scene. you are looking at them pippin and 105th. they have been here all night. it happened around pened # arou night. and the chase carried into oakland where the driver crashed into a parked car. officers say the driver then got out of the car and he had an assault style gun. an officer then shot him and the man died. the officer has been placed on administrative leave and the police and district attorney's office will investigate. they have not released any details about the man. they say that they did recover an assault weapon at the scene. it appears that they are wrapping up. right now the traffic scanner team is working at the site. they have already pulled the evidence gathering team
