new jersey correspondent nora muchanic was there today. >> reporter: after visiting the graves of herather and her in laws at calvary catholic cemetery in cherry hill easter sunday carmen and her family made a disturbing discovery. >> we see one headless and then we really look and there was like a sea of defaced grave z statues, religious statues, saints, engineers -- jesus mayor angels with no heads e20 statues were defaced in january. police responded but no arrests have been made p the vandalism spree was not publicized but with easter and the warmer weather more people are coming to the cemetery and horrified by what they see. >> i mean, this is sacred. why would you want to come and knock them over? what did they do to you? it's not fair to the people in the ground, not fair to the families. >> it's horrible. you know, it's a sacred land. your relatives are here. and you don't like to see anybody mess with. >> reporter: the cemeteries notified the families affected by the vandalism and recently held a meeting to update them on the plan to repair all the damaged grave markers. th

new jersey correspondent nora muchanic has more. >> reporter: jurors lift the courthouse in camden to come to haddon township where they saw the small creek in cooper river park where authorities found the body of brendan creato in 2015. the spot where his head was found on a rock is marked by an orange cone. one of the investigators described the scene in court. >> it was partially submerged in the water on his left side. his arms were bent in the water with his palms up. >> reporter: the media was not permitted to come along on this site visit, but prosecutors wanted the jurors to see in person the creek where the little boy's body was discovered. brendan's father, david d.j. creato was on trial for his son's murder allegedly committed because the child was interfering with his relationship with his 17-year-old girlfriend. creato sat silently as detectives displayed crime scene photos and the red slipper used to help a scent dog search for the child who was reported missing on the morning of october 13th, 2015. >> approximately 20 feet after turning left, i saw the body. >> reporter

new jersey correspondent nora muchanic talked to the woman who found the teen after the crash. e school all three boys attended plus more about the young man who died in this horrible accident. nora. >> reporter: brian, one of the survivors is still in the hospital, another has been released and there is terrible grief here today at southampton middle school. now, the would. who discovered the boys says the kids didn't appear to be hot-dogging or taking chances. she says the survivors told her their friend hit a patch of water and that caused the fatal accident. >> we waved and they weren't racing, they were just driving by. >> reporter: gail corey was dropping off her grandchild on west patti broker road saturday afternoon. not five minutes later when she looked down the road as she was leaving she could see one of two all terrain vehicles overturned and three boys on the ground. she quickly called 911. the crash killed 14-year-old nikolay cunningham of southampton and injured two of his friends. today a small memorial marks the accident site. >> one of the young men told me wa

nora muchanic has an emotional story to tell.ewly minted firefighter in natasha rivera, the daughter of a city firefighter who died in the line of duty in 2009. >> i know he is with me. i'm very honored, oh, my god i'm going to cry. >> reporter: natasha one of five children was 17 when he died. he collapsed after a fire helping to rescue a man from a burning house he died several weeks later. her father's death was devastating, who grew up wanting to be a firefighter just like her dad. >> stress level was high, but i never gave up. >> emotional, that girl has a lot of courage. i give her a lot of credit. >> at first when she came to me, i was a little bit afraid for her, but she took it, she showed her spunk and stuff like she always does. i got faith in her. >> reporter: her father's badge number 321 was retired after his death. the fire department made an exception. >> 321 for life. >> it's a great day, at least one of them made it. she is doing his dream. he wanted his kids to be a firefighter. firefighter now carries her dad'
