>>> i'm charlie rose with gayle king and norah o'donnell. >> today we may finally learn when the voting for the next leader of the roman catholic church begins. allen pizzey is in vatican city. what can you tell us? >> reporter: the vatican spokesman says the date for the conclave will be announced at about 7:00 p.m. rome time. he didn't say when it would actually start. he said possibly monday tuesday or wednesday. that will depend on the cardinals. a lot of them still want to speak in what are called the congregations. they have a lot to say, a lot to talk about and quite a few more want to speak. they're not supposed to speak to the press. one we spoke to on background said one thing the cardinals all agree on is the church needs, what he calls, a fresh start. he says we have to ensure that the new pope has a very strong team behind him. that gives credence to the idea that they're looking not just at a pope but who will be the next secretary of state in order to clean up the vatican government. charlie, norah, gayle? >> when the papal co

. >>> i'm charlie rose with gayle king and norah o'donnell.ficant snowfall to parts of southern new england, but the biggest impact is the wind. >> you can feel that wind. high wind watches and warnings are posted from new jersey to maine. flooding threatens many areas that were devastated by superstorm sandy. meteorologist jeff biardelli from wfor is watching the storm. jeff, what's your prediction for later today? >> more of the same. i think the snow thread will become more overnight. i don't think the flooding will be any worse today than it was yesterday, but still there's the possibility of moderate to major coastal flooding along the delmarva coast all the way up to new jersey. the worst flooding could be tomorrow morning along the southeast massachusetts coast line. so keep that in mind. now the other side of this system is the snow. that's increasing right now. the heaviest snow will pile up tonight once temperatures drop below freezing again. we're expecting the bull's eye to be in eastern new england, some places picking up eight to

. >>> i'm charlie rose with norah o'donnell. gayle king is off. storm that's dumping snow on north dakota and minnesota this morning. our meteorologist is tracking the storm. jeff, good morning. >> good morning. this could be a blockbuster snowstorm somewhere in the middle atlantic. first, let's talk about what's happening now. it's a thin strip of snow from fargo down to minneapolis. minneapolis could see around 6 inches of snow with this as the system begins to work its way to the south. in fact, here's how much snow we expect. during the day today, that's when it's falling over minneapolis. there will also be a little bit of snow during the day today in chicago. the main threat is tomorrow in chicago. notice the darker shading of blue. that's around 6 to 9 inches in minneapolis today and tomorrow. also, late tonight in chicago, about the same 6 to 9, maybe 10 inches of snow there. then we push it forward and notice what happens here in northern parts of virginia and also into let's say, west virginia. we could be talking about as much as a foot
