i'm norah o'donnell, and thank you for joining us. to begin tonight with breaking news and new details about what the justice department is calling an iranian murder-for-hire plot to kills cn two men are in federal custody in new york city, and a third is believed to be in iran. the alleged plot follows to attempt on trump's life in the months leading up to the% election. officials in recent months have pointed to ongoing efforts by iran to target trump and other current and former u.s. officials. cbs's scott macfarlane leads us off tonight with the latest development from the justice department. good evening, scott. so what do we know about this plot? >> reporter: yeah, norah, good evening. prosecutors say the iranian national guard, the revolutionary guard of iran, tasked a man named farhad shakari to target and kill u.s.-based figures deemed to be enemies of iran. shakari is at large right now and believed to be in iran. in the meantime, federal agents say they have arrested two new york city men believed to have been recruited to
