the coast guard tells us that the nord explorer was empty when it ran some trouble. they were able to free the ship a short time later with the tug boats. no one was hurt. the child's mother was also hit before the driver took off. police tell us the driver ran down the young mother as she carried her 2-year-old boy across the street. the force from the impact knocked the woman under a pickup truck and her child was thrown to the curb. the child was capture -- the car was captured on surveillance video speeding away from the scene with two men inside. the white vehicle there, the family of the victims is pleading for the driver to turn himself in. >> you did this. you should step up. this is somebody's life. >> investigators are searching for this white car, possibly a nissan or an infinity. they are also talking to several witnesses in hopes of identifying the vehicles and the occupy occupants inside. >>> a driver ran over and killed a 4-year-old boy and that driver took off. police have announced a $20,000 reward in that case. right in front of witness who is tried
