nbc's garrett haake is in norfolk, virginia, where the storm is headed next. what's the situation where you are? >> well, steph, we're on the back side of this thing by now. just when we were waiting to come on the air, the sun came out finally. the storm lashed this corner of southeast virginia overnight and in the early hours of this morning. we saw a lot of those guftsy winds, heavy rain. localized flooding in the area. probably not quite as bad as they got it in north carolina where closing in on 400,000 people are still without power there. the one thing i can say about this storm compared to others i have covered, it's fast. isaias essentially ripping its way up the i-95 corridor heading up through new jersey later today, through the dmv where they are expected to get three or four inches of rain in washington, d.c., and then they got the new york city where they're bringing out some of the protections that haven't been used there since superstorm sandy. for now, where we stand in southeast virginia, we're done with the rain. just a little bit of a wind
