and i want to really thank the board of supervisor, president norman yee. this is his district. he is an advocate for kids especially, and wanted to make sure that this summer that there was an opportunity for kids to have, you know, something to do. i can't even imagine -- when i was a kid i was a handful and i just would have felt so bad if i would have had to put my grandmother through the challenges of my personality, especially if we were dealing with something like covid at that time. so i know a lot of parents are really struggling. and so i love the fact that there are camps that are open. there are opportunities for kids to come together. we saw some of those kids today and they're so happy to be here. so happy to be outside. and they're determined to do their part. and i'm so proud of them for really just weathering the storm. so thank you to the parents and the others. and at this time i'd like to recognize president -- the board of supervisors, norman yee, who is with us today to say a few words.
