we had that happen last night just north of baltimore. they had to do swift water rescues from heavy downpours there. now they're gone. and thankfully, we're off to a settled start. we've got a partly to mostly cloudy sky, but it is still very humid. we're in the low to mid-70s throughout most of the region. ronald reagan national is in the upper 70s as well as right near the bay. those are the water temperatures. so any wind off the water is certainly going to be mild here predawn. and elsewhere, shenandoah valley, farther to the west, we're in the 60s most locations. and here's the sky over the last 12 hours. you can see we've had the heavy downpours dissipate after they moved out of maryland into pennsylvania. there are some heavier downpours now developing. southern ohio into kentucky. that is heading our way. looks like we'll be in here by midday and during the afternoon. there is the jefferson memorial now under a calm sky. we have a lot of moisture waiting to unload on us. and it looks like that's going to happen here by later this

baltimore county. a storm that is drifting north. this has prompted the weather system to issue a flood warning until 2:15 a.m. the center of the storm is drifting off to the northeast. a mile and a half northwest of to ammonium. harford ving toward county as well. more storms in the western maryland mountains had this way. in southern pennsylvania, some scattered showers and thunderstorms. there will continue to generate downpours as we head over to the into night -- overnight. there is one of these storms, that area indicates 4 inches of rain in anne arundel county, southern baltimore city in the pack -- pockets of green are healthy rainfall amounts as well. slow-moving storms loaded with moisture means flooding is possible. a flood watch covers western and central maryland. right around the area. you can see the wide range of rainfall totals. 0.1 of 1 inch but that is not too far from where there is several inches of rain. 1.5 inches of rain at the inner harbor. temperatures 95 degrees to 98 degrees. 79 downtown baltimore. 80 at t

storms north of baltimore. you see the blue-and-red line? that is a stationary front and it pulled up stationary into southern sections of pennsylvania where most of the thunderstorm activity is and again, very strong thunderstorm activity, too, and we have had a history of this being severe and that is going to take awhile for that to move on down and once the front starts drifting in here later on this evening, we'll begin to see a little bit more in the way of showers and thunderstorms right around here and flash flood warning to the northwest and some strong thunderstorms and allegheny, hampshire, mineral and washington under a flash flood warning until 7:00 and two to three inches of rain. you can see the trend of the showers and storms, moving to the west and east through southern sections of pennsylvania and nowhere, extreme northern sections of maryland and at 7:00, all the storms should be to the north of us, 91 degrees and that is possible for a shower and thunderstorm in the evening hours and into that leave note as well. as the s

baltimore. winds from the north at 10 as the front pushes in. as we time lapse this over baltimore, the downpours are coming in and dousing the camera over. then, that's the storm coming in. we have wet, unsettled weather. then, the storms roll in here into the afternoon. it's tough to even see here. 1.72 inches in cockeysville and millersville, 2.74 inches of rain. the big thing here, even up at churchville, it's come down in a matter of a few hours here. that's why we have the period of run off and flash flooding possible. if you see the flooded roadway, don't take the chance. 6 inches of water is all it takes to move a vehicle. 82 at easton and the showers haven't gotten in there yet. the humidity is high statewide. we have good news for the weekend. this boundary will push out of here and as a result, potential for flooding and the sticky, uncomfortable air will be pushed offshore. it will be hot and closer to 90 this weekend, but the shower threat will diminish. it will clear out by 10:00 and by 5:00 a.m., it should clear the beaches. we're
