but today north bay gets the rain in the morning. it will move south by late morning and early afternoon. quarter inch to two plus possible especially farther north you go russian river, maybe santa cruz mountains later. farther south this system will lose some power. these are really moist systems coming out of the west- southwest. they hold a lot more moisture. the jet stream funnels our highway upper air highway very, very strong right now. you can see where it's really lighting up north of the cape. there will be hefty totals over the next couple days. projections of six inches of rain near eureka and crescent city. some of the rain though warm sector out ahead of the front is beginning to move in. parts of napa county, sonoma county, marin county scattered light stretching back towards the southwest start to move in later on. this is light stuff. heavier stuff doesn't come in later until the front gets closer. it's cool to mild. mid-ooze. 57 mountain view, hayward and concord. everyone else close. look at this stream of moisture.
