that's why we have this warning in effect for north bay east bay and south bay valleys. we're about 15 degrees above average for livermore concord and santa rosa and santa rosa. you actually tied today's record high of 99 degrees set back in 1935. so even though it was a scorcher, especially for those of you in the east bay, no records were broken. but the one in santa rosa was tied. so let's take a look at temperatures out there right now. we are tracking about a 40 degree difference between brentwood, 93 degrees and half moon bay in the mid-fifties. but for those of you in santa rosa, 68 degrees calistoga and cloverdale still tracking mild temperatures in the low to mid 80's but relief on its way in the form of that deeper marine layer. in addition to that cool sea breeze, we're going to gradually cool down. still hot tomorrow, 5 to 10 degrees above average away from the immediate coastline with seasonal temperatures not arriving until tuesday before we warm up once again by the end of this upcoming week. more my full forecast in just a few minutes. noel, back to you.

we will likely see a heat watch go into effect because there's a huge portion of the north bay, east bay, and southbay that will feel hot temperatures currently, again, it feels like the coast line is 60's and 70's. here is the seven-day forecast with warm weather over the next couple days. temperatures taking off by the end of the weekend. we keep our eyes on the weekend for the hot temperatures. and we feel mild air over the coast. wes check in with traffic. jobina: if you are relying on transportation there is an equipment problem on the tracks. in the richland direction and daly city there are delays. and there is no green line service they are. you can access the stations but you will need to transfer. make sure to check the schedules because you may have problems they are. the golden gate bridge foggy this morning. chp has not issued a fog advisory but we keep an eye on that. one hour four minutes here f this commute. we have a live pitcher from the bay bridge toll plaza. -- live picture from the bay bridge toll plaza. we have a look with ginger of what is coming up on gma. >> g

the north bay has definitely seen some activity. you might have caught some lightning strikes as they pushed over the north bay, and the temperatures are kind of mild, 68 degrees, we've been talking about the buildup, what was going to happen, warm air has been sitting all around the bay area this weekend. wind is coming out of the west and southwest, tapping into the moisture, leading to some rise in the atmosphere and the formation of all these thunderstorms. dry lightning, where has it moved over the last couple of hours? it's definitely there through december fall, some have caught a glimpse of it over the richmond bridge, it has moved over parts of santa rosa and further on into mendocino county. right now and over the next couple of hours we are seeing it take more of a northeast track. we will keep an eye on what is going on in that corner of the state and watch out for any fires that could be ignited. what's going on after a very warm weekend? it's giving us a muggy feel. if you thought it feels like the south, i felt that w
