from the north bay down to the south bay.storm is really going to hit the north bay the hardest, and that's where we see more of the yellows and oranges throughout the afternoon. and even into the evening hours. the north bay will get the most rain. we start to get patches of dry spots along the peninsula and in the east bay this evening, and then notice we get a pretty good break late tonight through tomorrow about noon. that's a great time to clear out the rain uh- shutters and all the rain drains and here is where we start to see the rain start to hit the bay area again. and what we'll notice by tomorrow afternoon is when we see the heavier downpours for almost everybody. widespread rain, north bay, all the way down to south bay and the santa cruz mountains. and that continues tomorrow night and into monday. and the pink and white there that is snow falling in the sierra. so they're going to see lots of snow for the presidents day, presidents day holiday. so because of the cumulative effect and we're going to be inundated

now investigators are looking into the cause of that crash. >> in the north bay, the u.s. t guard has turned operations over to the great fair lawn's national marine sanctuary for this fishing boat that ran aground near bodega bay earlier this month. coastguards been trying to get that fishing vessel free since it went aground and now they say it's more of a salvage operation than anything else because of the unsafe weather and the poor condition of the boat efforts to refloat that boat and relocated further up. the beach have so far been unsuccessful. crews have been able to remove some of the diesel from one storage tank on board, but they don't know how much is still on there. coast guard says an unknown amount of that fuel leaked into the water as they tried to move the boat. the exact cause of the ship's grounding, the amount of diesel fuel in the water that's been leaked. still being determined. a reminder today's the last day to register to vote for the primary election. you can register online or in person at the registrar's office voting for the primaries opens sat

cloudy skies, santa cruz mountains you can see is getting a moderate sell down there and then a north bay is getting some rain just north of napa. and this is 6.30, right around the evening drive. also the same thing. just some a shower or 2 in the north bay. it starts to taper off in the overnight hours. so cloudy skies. so that is some unsettled weather. it's leave behind some breezy conditions showing this to you all day because it just shows you how it's a pretty it's breezy out there, especially mount tam. that's where that camera is. so 34 degrees 34 amount power in points. race and 30 in san francisco in the city. so it's gusty out there as this front is leaving us. we can expect this trend throughout the evening. at lake 8 or 9 o'clock. and then it should be tapering off by the 11:00pm hour. so just be careful. could see some downed trees after strong rains that moved through and the saturated ground. and we know how that those temperatures right now we're in the low 50's and that's the other story. we are cooling down. there is a frost advisory in place for the north bay starting

folks end up in the north bay. you're already using that umbrella. 101 seeing some of that rain right now on the freeway there. so do be careful. speaking up to the north bay up in sonoma county. we also a flood warning. this is in and around spots from great and right on down the road or park. we have some of our creeks and streams that have been rising. so want to be very careful with that. that has been extended now until tuesday at 10:00pm, all told we are also under a flood watch. you can see that coastal flood advisory in the areas in yellow around the ocean side and also the bayside there. the flood watch does go right through wednesday at 10:00am. so just be prepared that if you see any, you know, roads that are a little bit flooded, that that is going to be the case. you have to go around that today. here's the afternoon. it's going to get taking about 4.45 and you can see where things start to get a little bit slower is get to the evening. but even tomorrow still looking out for a few showers. so still so
